So POCUS is focused, limited and goal directed. It is basic. It can be used by clinicians, mid-levels, EMS, etc. It is good at finding fluid. Advanced techniques such as Doppler typically are not needed. Usually you need a basic (called b transducer) and looking for fluid and other basic things in the body. POCUS is an integrated examination. Sometimes putting things together from the abdomen to the chest or the heart. It also is used in the eyeball.
