Case: A 28yo female presents with syncope. Initial vital signs are HR 115, BP 90/60, afebrile. She complains of some lower abdominal pain and tenderness.

Transabdominal Pelvic Scanning
- Transabdominal often sufficient to determine pregnancy, free fluid
- Pelvic ultrasound should begin with transabdominal scanning
- If non-definitive may need transvaginal (next lecture)
